Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, supported the initiative of his colleague from the Presidency, Denis Bećirović, to dismiss the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Malaysia, Senaid Memić, who was arrested on charges of abuse of office while he was the mayor of the Municipality of Ilidža.

“Yes, I support! We are waiting for Bećirović’s proposal,” Komšić told Fena, referring to the proposal for the new ambassador to Malaysia.

The acting prosecutors of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office (CS) proposed to the Sarajevo Cantonal Court that the suspect Senaid Memić, former municipal chief of Ilidža and current ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Malaysia, be ordered to be detained for one month.

The detention of the suspect was proposed because of the risk of escape, then because of the risk that the suspect could influence witnesses, hide evidence, and because of the risk of repeating the criminal offense, the Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton announced.
