Members of EUFOR and NATO HQ in Sarajevo paid Tribute to deceased Military

COMEUFOR Major General Alexander Platzer and COM NATO HQ Sarajevo, Brigadier General Eric Folkestad, paid tribute to all the deceased military, police and civilian personnel of both EUFOR and NATO missions who lost their lives in service for the cause of lasting peace. Together the commemorated the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers in the Memorial park of Camp Butmir Sarajevo.

Every year on 29 May the United Nations commemorates the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. On this day, we pay tribute to all the women and men who have served as military police in UN Peacekeeping operations. We commend their professionalism, dedication and courage and honour the memory of those who have lost their lives in the cause of peace.
