The President of the Central Election Commission of B&H Stjepan Mikić and Head of the Office of the Council of Europe Mary Ann Hennesey signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Central Election Commission of B&H and the Office of the Council of Europe in B&H for 2014 in Sarajevo.
In the framework of the signed Memorandum the two sides recognize the need to develop the best possible educational facilities with the aim of improving the electoral process in B&H.
The Council of Europe will work closely with the Central Election Commission of B&H, among other things in the area of education and training of the polling board president through 10 one-day seminars in B&H on the topic ‘provisions of the criminal law in B&H and the criminal provisions of the electoral legislation of B&H in connection with the electoral process in B&H’.
The Council of Europe will be the support to the Central Election Commission of B&H in the making of a video presentation called ‘Practice of an electoral committee on election day’ and the printing of a new edition of the manual for the voting committee, announced CIKBiH.
