On 4th September, COM EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, participated in the Sarajevo Security Conference 2026, joining senior political and military representatives, diplomats, academics and security experts for discussions on contemporary security challenges and the future of European and regional security.
Major General Fronda delivered remarks during the opening session at Sarajevo City Hall alongside H.E. Mr Luigi Soreca, Head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative, and Brigadier General James Fowler, Commander NATO Headquarters Sarajevo.
During the conference, COM EUFOR also contributed to discussions examining defence readiness and the role of EU enlargement partners in supporting European security, while engaging with senior representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, NATO, EU institutions and the wider international security community.
Participation in forums such as the Sarajevo Security Conference provides an important opportunity for dialogue, exchange of perspectives and engagement with key partners, contributing to a shared understanding of the security environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
