Migrant’s Body Discovered in Vehicle in Sarajevo

The body of a migrant was found after midnight in a passenger vehicle in the Sarajevo municipality of Ilidža. The police are searching for the murderer, whose identity is known, and a 37-year-old Pakistani man was arrested on suspicion of assisting him after the crime.

The acting prosecutor qualified the event as a criminal offense of murder.

A doctor from the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service Institute declared the man dead at the scene.

The investigation was conducted by police officers from the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate, under the leadership of the prosecutor on duty at the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, in the presence of an authorized medical expert.

According to operational information from the police, a person whose identity is known is directly linked to the commission of this criminal offense, and an intensive search is underway.

The arrested Pakistani man is being investigated for criminal charges.

Members of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, continue to take all necessary measures and actions to fully clarify and document this case.
