At the Mala Bukovica site, in the Travnik municipality, an exhumation process is being carried out. It is coordinated by an investigator from the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH on the order of the case’s prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes.

During the initial excavations, mines and explosives were found and the exhumation process has been continued after the danger was eliminated and the location previously demined, in which the demining team provided support.

In the field are a forensic pathologist, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons, as well as police officers of the KSF / SBK Ministry of the Interior, who are securing the location.

So far, the remains of at least one body have been found, which is presumed to belong to a Croat victim.

The remains will be transported to the premises of the City Graveyard in Travnik, where the process of forensic medical examination and identification of the remains through DNA analysis will continue.

The work on the exhumation will be intensively continued.
