BiH and China signed an Agreement on abolition of Visa Requirements

The Agreement on abolition of visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports between BiH and the People’s Republic of China, as well as the Agreement on Agricultural Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH with the Ministry of Agriculture of China, were signed within the 6th Summit of the 16 Prime Ministers of Central and Eastern Europe and Prime Minister of the Republic of China (16 + 1) yesterday in Budapest.

The agreements were signed in the presence of the Prime Ministers of BiH and the Prime Minister of People’s Republic of China, Denis Zvizdic and Li Keqiang.

Agreement on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports between BiH and the People’s Republic of China was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Igor Crnadak, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of  the PR China, Wang Yi. According to this agreement, citizens of BiH and the PC China, who are holders of valid passports, will have no obligation to obtain visas for entry, exit, stay or transit through the territory of the other contracting party up to 90 days within 180 days.

The Agreement on agricultural cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and the Ministry of Agriculture of the PR China was signed by the Deputy Chairman of the CoM BiH and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic and Minister of Trade of PR China Shan Zhong. The signing of this agreement will open the process of intensive communication of BH institutions and business community in the field of agriculture and rural development in both countries, and it will also provide further promotion of economic, scientific and technological cooperation in the aforementioned sectors.

A loan agreement was signed between Elektroprivreda BiH and Chinese EXIM bank during the ceremony of signing bilateral agreements, and it is related to the project of the construction of the thermal power plant with the capacity of 450 MW “Block 7” of Tuzla Thermal Power Plant.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, noted that signing of the agreement represents a stimulus for further continuation and deepening of the successful cooperation of these two friendly countries, as announced by the CoM BiH.
