Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina met with Slovenian Ambassador

Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Sifet Podzic met with Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH, Zorica Bukinac.

Cooperation between BiH and Slovenia in the field of defense, the process of Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia-Herzegovina was discussed.

Other issues that were of importance for the bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries were also covered.

Podzic thanked for the support of Slovenia that it provides to Bosnia-Herzegovina in the field of defense, the process of BiH’s Euro-Atlantic integration, and assistance both through bilateral defense cooperation and through the participation of Slovenian Armed Forces in EUFOR and NATO headquarters in BiH.

Podzic also outlined some of the priorities of the BiH Ministry of Defense in the coming period, including the importance of financing the activities of the ministry and the BiH Armed Forces this year, and the implementation of the Defense Review and Modernization Plan, which is expected after the adoption of the Reform Program that was sent to NATO headquarters in Brussels.

“We now expect a signal from NATO to commence the activities,” said Podzic.
