As part of his visit to Serbia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković held meetings with the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, and the Minister for European Integration of Serbia Tanja Miščević.
The two sides pointed out that good bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia are very important for both countries, but also for the entire region.
The potentials and chances that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia have are great, and the two sides have shown common interest for the implementation of concrete projects to be in the focus in the coming period.
Konaković expressed the belief that, in good faith and with the work of competent institutions, it is possible to achieve a constructive dialogue and open space for the improvement of relations that will be beneficial for the lives of the citizens of both countries, and that stability, security and economic progress are in the interest of both countries.
He said that it is important to maintain institutional cooperation, i.e. cooperation at the level of state institutions, and accordingly, it was agreed to consider the possibility of holding a joint session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Serbia in the coming period.
At the meetings, the hosts welcomed the delegation and congratulated them on the quick formation of the BiH Council of Ministers, as well as on the candidate status that Bosnia and Herzegovina has received for EU membership.
During the day, the minister will also meet with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
