Minister of Security: As Minister I Was Not Aware of All the Relevant Information

radoncicfahrudinB&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić told BH Radio 1 that ‘as minister of security I was not informed of all the relevant information’ during the protests.

‘’I will be honest and I will be direct. Even if this will shock many listeners of BH Radio, I was not given information about the events last Friday’’, said Minister Radončić.

He said that according to our laws, the Ministry of Interior of Canton Sarajevo, Federal Police Administration, SIPA or OSA are not obliged to let the Ministry of Security know about their operational knowledge, and stressed that this is a completely insane law.

‘’Even in these days of very dramatic events, I am not receiving any operational information from any of our law enforcement agencies, police or intelligence services, and they are not obligated by law to do so’’, said Minister Radončić.

On the question of what is the definition of an attack on a state, whether that is storming the building of the Presidency, attack on police, and at what moment he had to react, the Minister said: ‘’And what if I were to tell you that this is not an attack on the state but rather a defense of the state. It is not an attack on the country if two offices in the Presidency building are destroyed. These are social rebellions, this is a revolt of the citizens and it is not an attack on the constitutional and legal order. No one demanded the abolition of B&H, but rather saving it from bad governance’’.
