“Missing Crypto Queen” is the most wanted Woman on the FBI’s List: She is charged with a $4.5 Billion Fraud

The United States (U.S.) authorities have increased the reward to five million dollars for information leading to the arrest of Ruja Ignatova, known as the “Missing Crypto Queen”.

She is a 44-year-old German woman born in Bulgaria, who is wanted by the FBI for an organized cryptocurrency fraud in the amount of 4.5 billion dollars. She has been unavailable to the authorities since 2017 when a warrant for her arrest was signed in the U.S.

The BBC reported that Ignatova was linked to the Bulgarian underworld and a suspected mob boss involved in her disappearance and possible murder. Two years ago, the FBI put her on its list of ten most wanted fugitives, offering a reward of $100,000, which was later increased to $250,000.

That reward was increased from $250,000 to five million dollars two days ago. How important it is for Ignatova to be found is also shown by the fact that five million dollars were offered for information on Daniel Kinahan, the head of one of the largest European drug cartels. Germany has already brought charges against Ignatova.

Ignatova was the director of the fake cryptocurrency OneCoin and is currently the FBI’s most wanted woman, the BBC reports.
