Deputy Minister of Finance of Bosnia and Herzegovina Muhamed Hasanović received a stamp from the cabinet of Minister Srđan Amidžić, ending the delay in transferring money to the Central Election Commission for holding early elections in Republika Srpska.

Hasanović today put a stamp on the Instruction on providing additional funds to the Central Election Commission in the amount of 6 million and 400 thousand marks.

The CEC should hold a new session in the near future at which it will determine further deadlines for holding the elections and prepare public procurement for the production of election materials.

Early elections for the President of the RS were called for November 23, after the previous President Milorad Dodik lost his mandate due to a final verdict of the Court of BiH.

Let us recall that the Court of BiH found Dodik guilty of committing the criminal offense of failure to implement the decisions of the High Representative, for which he was sentenced to one year in prison, which he replaced with a fine. He was also given a security measure of banning him from holding the office of President of the Republika Srpska for a period of six years, from the date the verdict becomes final.
