A horrifying murder case was reported to the Visoko police on Sunday, March 9, in the Luke settlement, where a man was brutally killed and his body dismembered.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (MUP ZDK) confirmed that they received a report of the murder and that an investigative team was immediately dispatched to the scene.

“The investigation team is at the location, and we can only confirm that we received a report and that this is a murder case,” an official from MUP ZDK stated.

According to initial but unconfirmed reports from the police, the suspect, identified as Din Bahtović from Visoko, allegedly killed the victim and then attempted to conceal the crime by dismembering the body. The motives behind the gruesome act remain unknown, and the ongoing investigation will shed light on the circumstances.

The victim, a man from Sarajevo, has been identified, but the police are awaiting official confirmation of his identity. By order of the prosecutor, an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Additionally, authorities have detained a second person, H.P. (born in 1980), also from Visoko, on suspicion of failing to report the crime. A criminal investigation has been launched against him under the charge of “Failure to report a criminal offense and perpetrator.”

Later today, after further gathering of evidence and information, the primary suspect will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo, along with a report on the committed offense of “Murder,” as reported by Klix.ba.

The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
