A total of 109 out of 141 concluded concession contracts in the energy sector are being realized in the RS at the moment.

So far, a total of 22 small hydro power plants have been put into commercial operation, and a total of 98 concession contracts have been awarded for their construction, seven for medium and large hydro power plants and two for thermal power plants and wind power plants.

The Report on the work of Concession Commission in 2017 noted that there were 110 valid contracts on the concession for the use of mineral raw materials in this period as well.

A total of 381 concession contracts were signed in the energy sector, exploitation of mineral raw materials, usage of agricultural land, trade and tourism and games of chance in this entity, in the period from 2004 to 2017.

The removal of materials from watercourse was noted as a problem since no important steps have been conducted in the sense of introduction of this sector into a concession relationship.

By the end of last year, a total of 51 contracts were terminated, while the period of concession expired for 38 of them.
