[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Pieces of photography that belong to the young B&H photographer, Haris Begić, were elected as one of the best photos in the National Geographic selection.

YourShot is a photographic community linked to National Geographic, which allows photographers from all over the world to upload their work. One of the uploads was the photo of a bridge jumper in Mostar that was taken by Haris Begić. The photo was selected as “Photo of the Day”, and will soon be printed in the National Geographic book of best works for the year 2014.

The photographs, which were also on the cover of National Geographic for more than a month, were taken in Mostar in 2014 during the Mostar Bridge jumps. The main photo shows Lorens Listo, an eightfold champion as he jumps off the Mostar Bridge head first.

Haris Begić was born in the Netherlands in 1995, and moved to Sarajevo as a four year old, where he graduated from the First Gymnasium in the Linguistic Department. He currently studies in the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo and Department of Communication Studies (Journalism) in combination with photography.

Begić’s intensive photographic work lasted for three years. Initially, he started taking photos as a hobby when he completed an amateur photography course at the Center for Multimedia in Sarajevo.

His passion for photography then soon became an eternal love.
