Vice-President of the Association Kada Hotić said that she is mostly disappointed with results of processed votes from Srebrenica Municipality, according to which Mladen Grujičić is in the lead.

“While he was lobbying for nomination for the mayor, he wore cockade on his head and boasted with it. He is proud of his heroes, Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić, which means that his attitude towards the life of Bosniaks in Srebrenica is already clear,” Hotić said.

Hotić added that she is also concerned for the marking of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, given the fact that Grujičić might impose obstructions and hinder the marking.

“Bosniak people in Srebrenica will not be equal. This is a disaster. I hope they will be decent enough and allow the marking of the anniversary,” Hotić said.

Hotić sees BiH politicians as main culprits for the loss of Bosniak mayor in Srebrenica. They passed amendments to laws, primarily the Amendments to the Law on Residency. Hotić also claims that international community is guilty as well, together with Bosniak politicians who take the path of least resistance.
