How much Money did Banks in BiH earn in Nine Months?

Banking sector in BiH recorded positive business operations last year, and banks realized profits that amounted to 318.4 million BAM in the first nine months of the year of 2017, which is by 48.1 % more than in the same period last year when their profit amounted to 214.9 million BAM.

According to this data, there has been an increase in the balance of payments, deposits and loans recorded both in the FBiH and in the RS, as well as the increase of savings of the population, capital, revenue and decrease of the share of non-quality loans in total loans.

The Agency for Banking of the FBiH stated that the banking system of the FBIH achieved a positive financial result in the nine months of last year, and according to the balance, it achieved the profit in the amount of 232 million BAM.

From the Agency for Banking of the RS said that, according to preliminary data, at the level of the total banking sector of the RS, eight banks achieved 86.8 million BAM of profit.

“The Banking Sector of the RS achieved net profit in the total amount of 86.8 million BAM, which is by 94 % higher in comparison to the end of the third quarter of 2016 when the profit amounted to 44.7 million BAM,” as stated in the report of the Agency.

Total gross loans amounted to 4.77 billion BAM and they are by 214.9 million BAM higher in comparison to the end of 2016.

The largest share in total loans are loans of citizens, which make 45 % of total loans and they amount to 2.16 billion BAM.

Loans to legal subjects’ amount to 2.6 million BAM or 55 % of total loans and they are higher by 3 % in comparison to the end of 2016.
