How much Money Saudi Arabia invested in BiH in 2016?

ambasador_saudijske_arabije1-696x456Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and BiH are bonded with very firm ties, stated the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to BiH Hani bin Abdullah Moeminah, reminding that his country was among the first ones to support the independency, sovereignty and stability of BiH, respecting its identity that reflects in multi-ethnicity and multi-confessionality.

“Kingdom of Saudi Arabia did not spare efforts in providing diplomatic and material support for the sovereignty of BIH and preservation of its territorial integrity with the aim of achieving a just solution that would enable BiH to exist in peace and security,” stated the Ambassador during the reception held in Sarajevo on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the statehood of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Ambassador reminded that a series of bilateral agreements was signed between these two countries since last year’s celebration. The last one signed was the Agreement on cooperation in the field of fight against criminal.

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia also emphasized that the leadership of Saudi Arabia dedicated special attention to the comfort and security of hajis during their visit to the sacred locations in that country.

In terms of economic development and infrastructure reconstruction, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia awarded a series of grants and favorable loans and in 2016 it participated in projects whose total worth exceeds 100 million USD.

Guest of honor at the reception was the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Denis Zvizdić, who said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly felt the needs of other friendly countries and nations, including BiH. He expressed special gratitude for the donations and assistance they provided to the citizens of BIH when they needed it the most.
