BiH weaponsThe Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH in 2016 issued a total of 311 export licenses for military equipment and dual-use products, on the basis of signed contracts, in the total amount of 390 million EUR.

This represents a significant increase in the activities of the military industry in BiH in comparison to 2015 when 253 permits were issued in the amount of 311 million EUR.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic said that the increase of almost 30 % and even more in 2016 is significant if we take into account the fact that the import of components, raw materials, and finished products, according to the licenses issued for exports, was reduced from 115 million in 2015 to 98 million in 2016.

Minister Sarovic stated that the issuance of licenses passed in accordance with the statutory procedures, in optimal conditions, and that there were no disputed cases.

We traded with 53 countries, and a rise in exports in the continuity, and in the last few years, a significant increase in utilization of export licenses ranks this industry among the top five exporters.

Details of foreign trade for 2016 will be presented to the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH soon.
