The Municipality of Konjic Realizes a Project worth 20 Million BAM

Konjic projectThe Municipality of Konjic continues the realization of a project worth around 20 million BAM which relates to building and the reconstruction of the sewerage network, and the construction of filters.

In November, the tender for mentioned jobs was published, and recently a new one that relates to the additional changes in the project.

Emir Bubalo, the Chief of the Municipality of Konjic said for ekapija.ba that it is the project started few years ago and which is of great importance for the Municipality of Konjic because they are the biggest polluters of the river Neretva.

“With the building of filters in four suburban areas, wastewaters will not go into the river Neretva“, said Bubalo, emphasizing that the project will be finished in he next few years.

Besides the Municpality of Konjic, the following companies are included in the financial realization of the project: The World Bank, The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water management, EIB, Fund for environment, IPA funds…

Also, in the realization of the project following BH companies are included: GP Rad, Bujice Mostar and HP Mostar, while the work on the filter got the Spanish company Aqualia which is one of the renowned ones when it comes to filters.

Bubalo explains that the project will be much more expensive, because after the construction works on the construction of filters, the reconstruction of roads follows.
