Municipality of Jablanica invited Volunteers to help transport Students to School and Home

The Mayor of the Municipality of Jablanica, Damir Sabanovic, invited volunteers to join the program to ensure the transportation of students to school, and from school to home, because many students have not yet come to school due to problems with transportation.

The transport company, which in agreement with the parents transported students in the past period, did not accept this obligation for this year.

“We all know how important education is for the future of our community and our children. Unfortunately, our Municipality has been facing challenges related to the transportation of students for five years due to the inability to conduct a tender for this purpose. In order to ensure the safe and regular transportation of our students, we are asking you for help,” Sabanovic stated.

He added that the Municipality of Jablanica is looking for volunteers who want to join the student transport program.

“This is an opportunity for us to show solidarity and concern for the future generations of our city until the Municipality of Jablanica solves this problem in the manner provided by law. All the vehicles of the Municipality of Jablanica will be available, but they alone are not enough,” Sabanovic points out.

All those who are willing and able to help, and have their own car, can register at the Municipal Administration.

“After signing up, you will be contacted for additional information and coordination. Please note that all volunteers will be screened and interviewed to ensure the safe and responsible transportation of our students. Your support will help our students attend classes regularly and reach their full potential,” he explained.

The goal, he says, is for everyone to have the opportunity to attend classes, Klix.ba reports.
