The Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo paid half million BAM for the construction project of Trebevic Cable Car.

Besides the engagement of municipal services in the previous period when obtaining the documentation necessary for the realization of this project, financial support has now been provided to a project that will certainly contribute to the economic, but also every other development of this municipality. According to Mayor Ibrahim Hadzibajric, funds for the construction of Trebevic cable car were allocated from the sale of land on which there was a facility so-called Feroelektro.

“When we decided to resolve the ruinous building, so-called. Feroelektro in the city center and sell our part of the land to the investor, the Council has come to a conclusion on the allocation of part of the funds for the construction of the cable car. I fully support this idea and the Municipality has been involved in this project from the very beginning through administrative affairs, so we are happy to help financially as well, “ said Hadzibajric. He explained that with the Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka, it was agreed that the funds would be paid during the project implementation, and that he had given an order to the competent municipal service to make payment of funds on Wednesday.

The City Council of the City of Sarajevo earlier gave a letter of appreciation to the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo for its outstanding commitment to accelerating the process and to more than open cooperation in obtaining the documentation required to complete the application for issuing a construction solution for the implementation of the Trebevic cable car renovation project.

For this project, the Municipality of Stari Grad, according to the City Administartion’s order,  also carried out the real estate expropriation for the facilities of the starting and incoming stations, where about 30 parcels were being processed.
