Nesic-Spasovski: Bosnia and Herzegovina sets Two Important Goals

The Minister of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, Oliver Spasovski, is today on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he will stay for two days, and today he also met with the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić.

“We set two goals – contribution to the European path and the desire for our departments to be the locomotive of that path. After EUROPOL, we gave ourselves a task, which is Frontex, North Macedonia fulfilled that task”, said Nešić.

Nešić said during the meeting that “Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia are used by criminals, people smugglers when they want to escape from justice. He added that there is cooperation and good relations between the two countries, two countries that are the gateway to the European Union.”

Oliver Spasovski emphasized that North Macedonia has recently recorded record drug seizures.

“In cooperation with Greece, we cut a chain and seized about 160 kg of drugs,” said Spasovski and added that “drug trafficking is one of the priorities for North Macedonia, in addition to cybercrime and terrorism.”

Nešić also referred to the recent seizures in the region.

“Obviously, our services are doing a good job while the drug was found. Our services achieve good results in finding drugs.”

Regarding whether anyone has been prosecuted for finding drugs linked to companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely in Trebinje, Doboj, Široki Brijeg and Tuzla, Nešić adds that he will request that information.

“We will request that information already today,” said the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
