Thanks to the cooperation of the Pomozi.ba organization and the Pace Athletic Club, 15 families from Klis who suffered great losses during the floods will receive new cars. Through the dedicated work of the commission, which in the last month contacted all the affected families, AK Pace, according to the budget of 109,000 KM, bought vehicles of the same or greater value than those that the families owned before the disaster.

An important part of this success was the humanitarian race ‘Klis 5K’, held last weekend, which provided almost 65,000 KM, while the remaining 44,000 KM was provided by the Association Pomozi.ba. This race gathered as many as 535 runners from 25 countries of the world and had 15 ambassadors who tirelessly promoted this noble initiative.

“I was deeply shaken by the scale of the disaster in Konjic, from human casualties to material damage. Meeting the locals who maintain a positive spirit gave me hope. Through Mahir’s initiative and the work of the Pomozi.ba Association, the goal is to provide long-term support so that these people are not forgotten.” . Public figures have a duty to use their voice for the greater good. Material assistance is key, but presence and support mean a lot,” said race ambassador Amra Džeko.

The initiator of the race and the campaign itself, native Klis Mahir Mujić, highlighted how he came to to the idea of implementing such a humanitarian action.

“I sympathize with my neighbors and friends and have been actively working to support them since day one. The idea for the car giveaway came from the community’s connection, and the race itself, which brought together 535 runners from 25 countries, raised is an incredible 65,000.00 KM. The most important thing is that next year, on October 4th, exactly one year from now, fateful night, to hold a new humanitarian race for Klis”, concluded Mujić.

The company Zuko A&D d.o.o. joined the humanitarian action. from Hotonje, which transported cars to Buturović Polje. This initiative is a symbol of togetherness, solidarity and continuous struggle for a better tomorrow for all affected families.
