New equipment for flood protection for FBiH, RS and Brčko District

Civil Defence of FBiH and RS and Department for Public Safety of Brčko District received new equipment for protection from floods, worth 93 000 BAM.

Sector for protection and rescue of BiH Ministry of Security has organised handover of new equipment for protection of floods to FBiH,RS and Brčko District which was acquired on the basis of Memorandum of Understanding between BiH Ministry of Security and UN Development Program, Children’s Fund of the UN and Save The Children Organisation.

Representatives of donors (UNDP, UNICEF, Save the Children), Sector for protection and rescue of BiH Ministry of Security, Civil Defence of FBiH and RS and Department for Public Safety of Brčko District  attended the handover.

BiH Deputy Minister of safety for protection and rescue Samir Agić said that this is the continuation of cooperation of Ministry with international institutions and organisations, and that this equipment will provide more efficient working effect, unlike the current one.
