EU will present tomorrow the project “Strengthening anti corruption capacities and the network of civil organizations in this field” in Sarajevo.
Beside the presentation of planned activities and expected project results, the conference will be an opportunity for the presentation and discussion on the content and on the process of preparations of strategic anti corruption documents that should be adopted until the end of 2014.
Holger Schroeder, Head of Cooperation in the EU Delegation in B&H will open the conference, followed by a speech of Sead Lisak, Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and coordination on the fight against corruption (APIK), Dragan Slipac, Deputy Director of APIK and experts of the project.
EU finances this project in the amount of 444.480 Euros from IPA 2010 funds. The goal of this project is to support B&H institutions in the effective implementation of anti-corruption strategies and action plans in cooperation with civil society organizations and business associations.
The project will focus on strengthening the institutional and administrative capacity of the Agency for prevention of corruption and coordination fight against corruption, the effective corruption and corruption prevention, support to the institutions responsible for combating and preventing corruption at various administrative levels and coordination among them, as well as the cooperation and coordination between governmental and non-governmental organizations that fight against corruption, announced the organizers.
