The National Assembly of the Republika Srpska (NSRS) last night at a special session elected the 19th Government of the Republika Srpska headed by Prime Minister Savo Minic. After the election, the president and members of the Government of the RS took a solemn oath.

Compared to the previous convocation, there are five new ministers in the Government of RS.

Draga Mastilović was chosen as the Minister for Science and Technology Development and Higher Education of the Republika Srpska, instead of Siniša Karan. Radenko Bubić, a businessman from Kotor Varoš, was elected Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship, instead of Vojin Mitrović. Nedžad Ned Puhovac was elected Minister of Trade and Tourism, instead of Denis Šulić, while Radan Ostojić was elected Minister of Labor and Veterans’ and Disability Protection, instead of Danijelo Egić.

Irena Ignjatović was elected Minister of Family, Youth and Sports, instead of Selma Čabrić.

In the new Government of the RS, the following ministers remained from the previous convocation: Finance Zora Vidović, Internal Affairs Željko Budimir, Transport and Communications Zoran Stevanović, Energy and Mining Petar Đokić, Health and Social Protection Alen Šeranić, Education and Culture Borivoja Golubović, Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology Bojan Vipotnik, Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Anđelka Kuzmic, Justice Goran Selak, Administration and Local Self-Government Senka Jujić and Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokic.

Submitting his exposition to the National Assembly, Minič said that the election of the new Government of the RS is part of the political process which, he stated, was maturely and responsibly planned with the holders of all important political functions in the RS, and which confirms political responsibility and stability.

“My message to the citizens is that we will not waste a single day, that nothing will be called into question and that we will not allow any factor to influence the destabilization of the process in the RS. The new government will promote and emphasize the position based on the Dayton Agreement, that the RS is a party to the Dayton Peace Agreement and a signatory to all its annexes, and a party that was internationally recognized during the harmonization of the Geneva and New York principles that preceded the Dayton negotiations,” said Minic.

He emphasized that before the previous Government of the RS, he set concrete goals for action, which, he stated, will be continued through the new Government. Minić said that the directions of action remain the same, and include short-term support for domestic consumption, the establishment of an investment register and support for the economy and the real sector, Fena news agency writes.
