A new mammography medical device which serves for early breast cancer diagnosis will be available starting today to all woman having their health assurance registered in the Health centre at Ilidža.
As announced from the press service of the Canton of Sarajevo, the new device will be in function at the ceremony to be held today at 14:00 o’clock. The organizer of this event is the Institute for health protection of women and motherhood of the Canton of Sarajevo.
Every woman should do her first mammography by the age of 40. From 40 to 50, mammography is recommended every two years while after the age of 50 once a year.
