The citizens’ association “Restart Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)” has announced that it will organize new protests in Sarajevo on May 9th, which, as stated, will probably be held in three locations – in front of the buildings of the United States (U.S.) Embassy, the European Union (EU) Delegation, and the Office of the High Representative (OHR).
“Originally, we planned for this event to be held in Tuzla and to continue spreading the idea of a civic model of organizing the state. For years, Tuzla presented itself as a libertarian, anti-fascist, and multi-ethical city, so we should have continued our tour of BiH cities right there on that date,” they pointed out from this association.
As they stated, due to the current situation, they are forced to stay in Sarajevo again – this time they will offer concrete solutions “in a situation when the High Representative demolished the Dayton principles, i.e. the Constitution of BiH”.
“The first solution we will offer is a return to the original Constitution of the Republic of BiH (RBiH). The second solution is the proposal of our Azra Zornic – municipalization, which is a state arrangement with two levels – state and municipality. We will reveal the third solution we are preparing on May 9th,” the statement reads.
In the end, they said that they would send letters of intent to the mentioned addresses, so that high officials could plan to receive them on May 9th.
