At a time when the anniversaries of the notorious camps are being marked in Prijedor, from this city we are again witnessing provocations towards those who survived torture and lost their loved ones.
Namely, at a music festival recently held in Prijedor, two young men displayed offensive inscriptions on T-shirts glorifying war crimes, as well as the three camps Omarska, Keraterm, and Trnopolje in this area. Although, according to media reports, some attendees warned about the inappropriateness of such behavior, police officers did not take any measures. Displaying messages that insult victims and their families, in many countries, constitutes a criminal offense.
However, in this case, the reaction of the competent authorities is still lacking. From the Prijedor Police Department, they state that they have not yet received an official report of this incident, but that, based on the obtained information, police officers will take the necessary measures. It should be recalled that in the ethnic cleansing in Prijedor, at least 3.178 people were killed, among them 102 children.
