Twelfth International Ski Competition and BiH Tournament ”BH Telecom Ilidža Fis-Cup 2013” for seniors and juniors will be held next week in organisation of BiH Ski Federation and Ski Club Ilidža on the Bjelašnica Mountain, reports FENA

More than 100 skiers from BiH,Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Greece, Hungary and Bulgaria will participate in this competition.

According to manager of the competition Alem Holjan, 30 skiers will present BiH, 20 Croatia, 20 Slovenia, 10 Serbia and 5 Montenegro.

”This year’s competition will be much more visited than the last year’s. The weather is good, there is a lot of snow, and we’ve created, together with company ZOI’84, conditions for the best ski race”, said Holjan on today’s press conference.

According to officials of BiH Ski Federation and officials of International Ski Federation (FIS), this traditional competition is one of the best organised in BiH and in region.

In the past 12 years, several well known skiers participated at this competition – Katarina Lavtar and Ana Kobal from Slobina, Natko Zrničić from Croatia and Silke Bachmann from Italy.

Žana Novaković, who won last year in giant slalom, will lead BiH team, while Igor Laikert will not participate for men’s teams because of his duties in Norway.

On Saturday at 9.30 a.m., there will be giant slalom races for men and women, while the slalom races will be held on Sunday at 9.30 a.m.

Announcement of winners will be done on Sunday at 13.30 pm
