Nicholas Hill to Visit the Demined Area in the Village Ravne (Municipality of Vareš)

nicholas hillThe Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nicholas Hill will visit the demined area of the village Ravne in the municipality of Vareš on Monday 21th July.

The demining process in the village Ravne started last year by clearing a backyard of one of the village houses and was financed by the U.S. Government.

Since 1999 the U.S. invested over 92 million Dollars into programs of destroying conventional weapons in order to decrease the stocks of the conventional munitions and to fight against mines.

After his visit to these areas, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in B&H Nicholas Hill will make a short statement and answer questions of the journalists.

Monday 21th July:

10:30 o’clock: Visit to the demined area

10.45 o’clock: Press statement
