On the occasion of the announcement of the first call for project proposals under the IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia – BiH 2021-2027, a conference was held today at the City Hall in Užice, organized by the Ministry of European Integration and the Ministry of Finance of Serbia, and the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Within the framework of this call, nine million euros are available to applicants for projects in the areas of supporting young people in education and employment, and strengthening tourism and cultural and natural heritage in the program area. The call is open until January 10, 2025.

“This program has firmly connected us and directed us towards jointly solving the challenges we face every day. It has encouraged the renewal and establishment of economic, cultural and other ties, the improvement of partnerships and the building of friendship. And that is precisely the core and main goal of cross-border cooperation,” said the Director of the Directorate for European Integration, Elvira Habota, in her opening remarks.

The conference participants were also addressed by Jelena Raković-Radivojević, Mayor of the City of Užice, Mira Radenović-Bojić, State Secretary at the Ministry for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, and Emanuel Giofre, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia.

After the conference, an information session was held during which the Guidelines for Potential Applicants and the Application Form were presented to the attendees, the Directorate for European Integration of BiH announced.
