There is no information so far that any of the citizens of BiH origin were killed or injured in the strong earthquake that hit the Turkish-Syrian border area this morning.

The BiH Embassy in Turkey is constantly monitoring the situation, BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković told FENA and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.

Many citizens of BiH origin live in the area hit by the earthquake in Turkey.

A devastating earthquake has struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, killing more than 1,300 people in a 40-second-long tremor that was felt as far as Lebanon and Cyprus.

Rescue teams on Monday were racing to find survivors trapped under tangles of metal and chunks of concrete in cities and towns across the two countries.
