There were no major incidents during the New Year’s celebration in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) capital Sarajevo. According to reports from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo and the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance, there were no incidents, and doctors reported interventions regarding small injuries caused by pyrotechnic substances and excessive alcohol consumption.
The Operations Center of Canton Sarajevo only recorded minor incidents during the New Year’s Night, and the incidents refer to minor offenses.
Doctors of the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance had only five patients, of which only one was because of excessive consumption of alcohol.
“There were six of our teams on the New Year’s Eve celebration, they did not have any special intervention, they had only five patients, one of which was because he consumed alcohol, meanwhile, four reported fingers injury,” the Department of Emergency Medical Assistance told Klix.ba news portal.
They said that two hours after midnight there were several interventions in public places and at homes, and that most cases referred to drunkenness.
