Attack on a Military Base in Afghanistan where are Members of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Armed Forces

On the morning of December 11than attack took place at the Bagram military base in Afghanistan.

All members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina engaged in the completion of the Bagram mission in Afghanistan, as well as the members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina delegation currently visiting this country, are well and healthy.

Our soldiers continue to carry out their tasks, and BH the delegation continues the activities planned by the visit program.

On Wednesday, Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency Zeljko Komsic and Presidency Member Sefik Dzaferovic were greeted at the Kabul Presidential Palace with the highest state and military honors.

Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina thanked Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani for his hospitality and informed him of the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of Afghanistan thanked the members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their participation in NATO’s Resolute Support mission and for their contributions to peacebuilding and stabilization of Afghanistan.

The President of Afghanistan informed the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina of the current situation, goals, dynamics and results of the reform processes undertaken by the Afghan Government.

There was an interest in sharing experiences that Bosnia and Herzegovina had in peacebuilding and post-war reconstruction, noting that the experiences and lessons learned from our country could be very useful for Afghanistan.

After meeting with the President of Afghanistan, members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with General Giles Hill, the Deputy Commander of the Resolute Support Mission. The meeting discussed the security situation and challenges in Afghanistan and the plan of activities of the Resolute Support mission for 2020.
