Novalic calls Bosnians to spend Holidays in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalic, commented on the introduction of a mandatory measure of 14-day self-isolation for passengers entering the Republic of Croatia from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“It is no coincidence that we are here in the south of Herzegovina today. In light of this policy from Croatia, I invite all our families who intend to spend their holidays, to do it in their country. We have the sea near us. It is only a matter of weeks when the Zaba tunnel will be released, which allows us to get from Mostar to Neum, without crossing the borders, in about an hour,” said Novalic during a visit to the construction site of Corridor 5c near Počitelj.

The Federal Prime Minister added that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will help the domestic economy in the best way by spending their summer holidays on the BiH sea, Blidinje, Medjugorje, Krajina or on the Una waterfalls, reports Fena.

All those who have paid tourist arrangements in Croatia, and come from Bosnia and Herzgeovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia, will have to go into 14-day self-isolation, said Mladen Buzancic, head of the State Border Service of the Split-Dalmatia Police.

On Wednesday, the Croatian authorities changed the decision regarding the transfer of citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina, ie all those who come from BiH, and the new order requires 14 days of self-isolation, Klix.banews portal reports.

However, the official announcement of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia is still awaited in what this decision specifically implies.

“The new decision of the Civil Protection Headquarters changes the regime of entry of persons from the territory of four countries. These are Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Serbia, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. This means that from June 25, all persons coming from the territory of those countries to the Republic of Croatia – they will have to undergo 14 days of self-isolation, “Buzancic told HRT.

The exceptions, he says, are those who travel for urgent personal reasons, people who are cross-border workers, passengers who are in transit.
