Residents of Sarajevo and tourists took advantage of the final weekend of 2024 to stroll through Bascarsija and other popular spots.
Tourists used the opportunity to feed and take photos with the pigeons at Sebilj. In addition to walking and taking pictures, many enjoyed the city’s cafes and restaurants.
According to AccuWeather, the temperature in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) capital was -2 degrees Celsius yesterday, and a yellow fog warning had been issued.
Regarding events in the city, the Sarajevo Big Band held their traditional New Year’s concert last night at the Bosnian Cultural Center.
The band’s permanent lineup of 25 musicians performed compositions by Bijelo Dugme, Ambasadori, and Zdravko Colic, alongside BiH vocal soloists Renata Kurtalic, Nermin Puskar, and Alen Lemesevic.
Today, in front of the Eternal Flame, DJ Topic, After Affair, and Sara Jo will perform. Residents of Sarajevo and numerous tourists will ring in 2025 with Severina and Adi Sose at the same location.
Concerts are set to continue in the coming days – Nina Badric will perform on January 2nd, Bajaga on January 3rd, and Prljavo Kazaliste on January 4th. With this lineup, Sarajevo has secured a prominent position on the regional stage for public New Year’s celebrations, Klix.ba writes.
