Official: Tuzla Airport introduced Flights to Vienna

Tuzla Airport Cargo Traffic faktor.baRepresentatives of the Tuzla Airport yesterday presented new flights to Vienna, as a result of business cooperation with the company Montenegro Airlines, making Vienna the tenth destination from this airport.

Members of the management of the Tuzla Airport, Montenegro Airlines and representatives of the Government of the Tuzla Canton spoke at a press conference about plans and investments related to the Tuzla Airport, regarding the utility infrastructure, existing operators’ capacities, and upgrading the airport approach lights.

Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamović assessed that the development of traffic means the development of society as well, especially this “spectacular development of the Tuzla Airport”. It is a great opportunity, Imamović added, not only for fast communication between the passengers but also for fast communication between European investors.

“In my experience, an investor who does not struggle to reach Tuzla actually invests in B&H, unlike those who land in Zagreb or Belgrade and then travel to Tuzla. I see this as a great development opportunity, for which we need the so-called Y-branch, a highway or speedway Orašje-Brčko-Tuzla-Žepče and connection to the Corridor 5C. Airport in Tuzla is already connected with the river port in Brčko, the railways, and I believe those are prerequisites for a much faster development of Tuzla and the Tuzla Canton”, said the Mayor Imamović, the Press Office of the City of Tuzla released.
