One of the most visited destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina this year was certainly Počitelj. Beauties of Počitelj lay in the walls of the old town, walls that are equally interested to domestic tourists and tourists from all around the world.

Civil Association of Počitelj stated that influx of tourists this year was twice larger than last year.

“Počitelj was visited by around 200.000 tourists this year. Art colonies are being organized here, people come, take photos, and check in on social networks,” said the President of the Civil Association of Počitelj Dževad Ibrulj.

Residents of Počitelj are satisfied because people from all around the world come to this small town intentionally or they stop by when traveling to the seaside and back, but they think that the tourist potential and everything that makes this old town beautiful is just untapped. According to Ibrulj, Government of FBiH invested around five million BAM in Počitelj.

“A beautiful terrace with the view of the entire town was built last year. However, it was never entirely completed, so we hope that its construction will be completed in the future,” said Ibrulj.

Take a look at this stunning old town!
