Orange Warning due to high Temperatures in BiH

Due to the high daily temperatures in Herzegovina and the greater part of Bosnia, an orange warning is in effect, while for the same reasons, a yellow warning is in effect in southwestern Bosnia.

Thus, in the Mostar area, daily air temperatures of around 39 degrees Celsius are expected, in the Prijedor and Visegrad areas, maximum daily temperatures are forecast between 34 and 38 degrees Celsius, and in the Banja Luka area between 33 and 37 degrees Celsius.

At the same time, maximum daily temperatures of around 36 degrees Celsius are expected in the Sarajevo and Tuzla areas, while maximum daily temperatures between 33 and 36 degrees Celsius are forecast in the Foča and Trebinje areas, which is why the orange warning is in effect.

Maximum daily temperatures of around 33 degrees Celsius are expected in the Livan area.

“Expect minor disturbances in outdoor activities. Be aware that high air temperatures are expected. There are possible health risks among vulnerable people, for example the elderly and very young people,” according to the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH.

Sunny weather prevails in Bosnia and Herzegovina with low to moderate cloudiness.

The air temperature at eight o’clock was 11 degrees in Sokolac, 15 in Bugojno, 16 in Ivan Sedlo and Zvornik, 17 in Bjelašnica, Sanski Most and Sarajevo, 18 in Banja Luka, Bihać, Doboj and Zenica, 19 in Livno and Tuzla, 21 in Bijeljina and Trebinje, and 24 in Gradačac. , Mostar and Neum 25 degrees Celsius.

Atmospheric pressure in Sarajevo was 943 millibars, 1 millibar higher than normal and rising slowly.

Sunny and hot today in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The wind is weak to moderate in Herzegovina and the western areas of Bosnia, west and south-west, and east and north-east in the rest of the country.

The highest daily from 32 to 38, in the south up to 40 degrees Celsius.

Sunny and hot in Sarajevo. The highest daily temperature is around 35 degrees Celsius.
