During the official visit to the US, a delegation of the BIH Ministry of Defense and BiH Armed Forces (OSBIH), led by Minister of Defense Zekerijah Osmić will meet today in the Pentagon with the National Guard Bureau of the US General Frank Grass.
The topic of the discussion will be the realization of the activities of the State Partnership Program (SPP) between BiH and Maryland, and which the National Guard Bureau supported in the last period and proposals for the possibilities of new and additional activities in the future.
On the same day, the delegation will meet in the State Department with the Director of the Office for Southeast and Central Europe in the European Office of the State Department for Europe Jonathan Moore.
The Ambassador of BiH to the US Jadranka Negodić will attend the meeting with Moore.
They will speak about the importance of relations between the US and BiH in the area of defense-security, and the special importance of the realization of the State Partnership Program.
Among other things, they will speak about meeting the requirements of activating the NATO Action Plan, participation of the BIH Armed Forces in the ISAF Mission, improving the capacity and methods of destroying surplus ammunition and the continuation of the reform process of the Armed Forces with a special emphasis on the document “Overview of Defense”, announced the BiH Ministry of Defense.
