osmanovicRepresentatives of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and the Party for B&H (SB&H) continued discussions related to formation of new coalition in the Federation of B&H.

After the meeting, Vice President of the SDA, Adil Osmanović, said that SDA appointed a work group at the last meeting of the Collegium, to discuss with members of parties SB&H, BPS and A-SDA.

In the continuation of discussion with SB&H, full support for the work of the Council of Ministers of B&H was given, as well as the commitment for the reform agenda and all of the reform laws derived from it.

“We are giving the full support to the Government of FB&H, and we agreed that these 4 political parties should fill in the Government of FB&H, with one minister from each party, who were appointed from the Democratic Front before. We did not go much into detailed distribution of certain departments, we are relying more on the discussions between SDA and SB&H regarding functionality of work of the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament as well as the House of Peoples and the Government of FB&H. We will try to fill in the Government of FB&H with the missing ministerial positions until early September,” he said.

He emphasized that the representatives of SB&H expressed their opinion on the interest in the industry and energy sector at yesterday’s meeting again, with the explanation that they have staff that would respond to issues in this department and could lead it very well.

Vice President of SB&H, Besim Imamović, said that the focus of yesterday’s meeting with the SDA was the functioning of government. He believes that establishing the political stability, the functioning of the Federal Government is crucial. Everything else will, as he said, work their way out.

He said that the SB&H, regarding the ministerial positions, put the accent on what they know to do the best.

“We have demonstrated that we achieved excellent results in the energy sector, we have a professional staff, a quality individuals that can improve the work of this ministry and the entire Government of the FB&H,” he said.

Osmanović said to the reporters that yesterday they had “decent conversation with A-SDA and tomorrow they will have a conversation with that party, and the General Secretary of SDA is arranging the meeting with representatives of the BPS.” It is expected to continue discussion with this party.

Representatives of the SDA, Bosnian-Herzegovinian Patriotic Party, SB&H and A-SDA signed the Agreement on political cooperation, joint action and united approach for the mandate period 2015-2018 in late July. With this agreement they committed to the political fight for the integrity of B&H, strengthening its institutions, and for the implementation of essential economic and socio-political reforms that will initiate the development and economic progress.
