PDP Party: Today’s Session showed that the Situation in BiH is getting worse

Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Branislav Borenović (PDP) said that today’s session shows that the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is really getting worse, and that BiH is far from a parliamentary democracy.

Borenović notes that the ruling structures are “confused or deliberately confusing the public, especially when it comes to the European path of BiH”.

“I have the feeling that some people in the ruling coalition do not want to adopt European laws or to adopt them only in name, and that the content is an empty shell and that we have European laws that are nice to read, but the content does not correspond to real needs,” said Borenović.

As he said, the opposition wants to know whether the government is on the European path and whether it is ready to adopt laws in accordance with the 14 priorities of the European Commission or whether it is only there to confuse and create some kind of anarchy in the BiH parliament.

“I have the feeling that one part of the government does not want to harmonize our legislation with the EU acquis and that is why I am pessimistic on this issue, and on the other hand I have the feeling that part of the people from the EU want laws to be adopted at all costs, even by title, so that it can be said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is not the last on the train to Brussels,” added Borenović.
