POLAND-RUSSIA-APPLES-EMBARGOExports of agricultural products from Republika Srpska (RS) to the Russian Federation increased last year in comparison to 2014 from 4.3 million BAM to 12.7 million BAM, and the structure of exports predominantly includes fruit, especially apples.

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the RS, Stevo Mirjanic, introduced the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in BiH, Petar Ivancov, with the export potential of this entity in the area of plant and animal production, mainly fruit, vegetables, meat and milk and related products.

Minister Mirjanic believes that the RS has great chances and opportunities in the production and delivery of fresh meat, meat products, milk and dairy products, and that it can offer significant amounts of these products to Russia, as announced from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the RS.

“The RS has a well-developed veterinary service and can fulfill all the conditions required by the Russian market in terms of products of animal origin”, stated Minister Mirjanic.

Ambassador Ivancov announced that Russian inspectorates that are competent for issuing certificates for export will visit BiH by the end of this year.

The main aim of the arrival of the Russian delegation will be the inspection of facilities for the production of meat and milk.
