Shot putter Mesud Pezer ended the winter athletics season with today’s performance at the European Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal, where he won third place and a bronze medal with a shot of 20.58 meters.
This was Pezer’s first outdoor performance this winter, where Italian Zane Weir won first place and the gold medal, winning with a shot from the second series of 21.55 meters. Weir achieved this length in the last, sixth series, that is, the last shot of the competition.
The second place and the silver medal was won by the British Scott Lincoln with a length of 20.98 meters, and the fourth was the Romanian Andrei Rares Toader with 20.43 meters.

The Italian Leonardo Fabri, who 10 days ago won a bronze medal at the World Indoor Championship in Glasgow, Scotland (21.96 meters), and who was also announced to perform in Leiria, did not perform in this competition.
