Play ‘The Hen’ in Youth Theatre Sarajevo

kokoskaThis Thursday, 20 June, citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see the play ‘The Hen’ (Kokoška). The author of this play is Nikolaj Koljada, and the director is prominent actor and professor at the Academy of Performing Arts, Admir Glamočak.

This extremely interesting text describes intimate lives of actors and actresses that they lead behind the scenes, and raises the question: can a clear line of distinction be drawn between theatre and life, and if so, where? Today, when our daily lives have become the best selling media material, this play speaks, in an ironic and comic way, about the life of people for whom the art of theatre represents their daily bread.

Cast of the play: Mario Drmać, Alen Muratović, Damir Kustura, Mirza Tanović, and Sanin Milavić.

The play will be shown in Sarajevo Youth Theatre at 8 p.m.
