In a statement from the Plenum of the Citizens of Sarajevo:
The Plenum of the citizens of Sarajevo do not support any political party in B&H. We think that this is important to note, given that individuals are using the opportunity to address the Plenum, or the citizens gathered at the protests, and to express their support for individual parties.
At the same time, many parties are trying to present themselves as the protectors of the Plenum and disenfranchised citizens through their media, which is a perfidious political game whose goal is not for the good of any of us, but is rather only and exclusively for political promotion.
At the same time, we recall that the Plenum is an Assembly of all members of a group, and in this case of all citizens who live in the area of Canton Sarajevo and wish to contribute to the common good with their work and knowledge. The Plenum is a public space for debate, and all have the right to vote, including members of political parties, but in this public space they do not have the right to promote the interests of those parties and to hold political speeches.
Political parties that are using the Plenum for their promotion, and for the purpose of the election campaign that has apparently already unofficially begun, once again have shown that citizens are absolutely right because they went out on the street and are seeking their accountability. So far, they have not shown that they are responsible and capable, and inserting their envoys at the protests and at the Plenum has once again confirmed that we have a reason to be on the streets, to protest and to ask for change.
Citizens, let us be unified and resolute in seeking social justice. Let us not allow political parties to manipulate us.
Signed: The Plenum of the Citizens of Sarajevo
