mostarAt last night’s Plenum of the citizens of Mostar, which was held in OKC Abrasevic Center, several demands were determined, and it was announced to establish a connection with the plenums of Tuzla and Sarajevo.

One of the adopted demands is to ask an official statement from the Ministry of Interior HNK on its position towards the social uprising of citizens, along with an explanation of the unnecessary arrests of protestors. Also, citizens demand from the city authorities the transfer of public space for the maintenance of the Plenum of citizens of the city of Mostar.

Citizens demand the release of all those who are accused of criminal activities related to the protests. They demand the release of all public officials who obtained their posts without going through the official procedure, as well as the Directors of all cantonal agencies, and the audit of the diplomas of public officials.

Citizens ask to make it possible for demobilized soldiers to lead a dignified life through programs of employment and vocational retraining. One of the demands is to open investigation into the work of the cantonal Prosecutor’s Office and to penalize those who are responsible for not solving 30 cases of murder cases from the war until today.

It was concluded to form a Solidarity Fund for those who have been arrested during the protests.

It was announced that they would discuss the proposals at today’s Plenum for the new statute of the city of Mostar that was formed by young Mostar intellectual Nino Zelenika.

The next Plenum of the citizens of Mostar will take place today at 15:00 in the OKC Abrasvic, and citizens will then gather at Spanish Square at 17:00 for a peaceful protest, announced the Coordinating Committee of the Plenum.
