The President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will officially mark the beginning of construction of the bridge between Ljubovija and Bratunac today. The investment is worth more than 12 million EUR.
The event will also be attended by the Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure of Serbia Zorana Mihajlovic and the Minister for Physical Planning, Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska Srebrenka Golic, as well as the Minister of Transport and Communications of Republika Srpska Nedjo Trninic.
On Friday, October 16, the workers and machines of the Company “Ratko Mitrovic” from Belgrade began works on arranging the terrain and clearing the area on the right side of Drina for the construction of an access road and bridge between Ljubovija and Bratunac.
All preparations have been conducted, and on September 19 the representatives of the Government of Serbia signed an agreement with the Company “Ratko Mitrovic”, the company which leads the consortium consisted of four companies that will execute the works.
Total value of the investment is 12 million EUR, of which Serbia participates with 4.5 million for the construction of the entire bridge and access roads on its side of this bordering bridge, while Republika Srpska and B&H will fund the construction of access road and joint customs terminal on the left bank of the Drina River, at the territory of Municipality Bratunac.
